  • Bringal - 1 (Big size)
  • Gram flour - 1 cup
  • Ginger-Garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Green chili paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil for frying
  • Chaat masala


  • Peel the potatoes and cut the potatoes in thin round pieces.
  • Sprinkle and apply salt, chili powder and chaat masala on both the sides.
  • To Prepare the batter, mix the gram flour with ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, green chili paste and salt. Add sufficient water and mix well. To make a batter of coating consistency.
  • Heat sufficient oil in a pan; dip each piece of bringal into the batter and deep fry on medium heat till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
  • Serve hot with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
